On Aug. 21^st 2016, the preparation meeting for The 25^th International Conference on Nuclear Engineering (ICONE) was held in Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI). The meeting was hosted by Vice President and Chief Engineer of SNERDI, Mr. YAN Jinquan. Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Nuclear Society (CNS), Mr. SHEN Lixin, Director of Shanghai Nuclear Power Office, Mr. WEI Ping, Senior Vice President of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) and President of SNERDI, Dr. ZHENG Mingguang and other Chairmen and assistants of ICONE25 tracks attended the preparation meeting.

CNS and SNERDI introduced the preparation status of ICONE25. Attendances discussed the settlement, content and team organization of different sessions, and communicated the following-up schedule for preparation.

ICONE is the premier global conference on nuclear reactor technology. It has been jointly sponsored by the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers and ASME since 1991–and co-sponsored with the CNS since 2005. This conference is a “must-attend” for anyone who wants to stay technically current and on top of industry trends and developments. It features Industry Forums, Technical, Keynote, Plenary and Poster Sessions, plus Workshops where international subject matter experts present their views and expertise on current topics of importance to the world-wide nuclear community. Through the ICONE student program, the conference also fosters the development of future nuclear professionals.
