After five hours and 45 minutes' process of raising, maintaining and reducing test pressure of the reactor system, the cold hydrostatic test for Unit 1 of Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant was successfully completed on July 2, 2016.

The completion of the test confirms that the primary loop pressure boundary of Haiyang Unit 1 is intact, which leads the way to the follow-up commissioning milestones: hot functional test, initial fuel load and first grid connection.
