January, 11th, 2016, the professional training session of R.S.A. Civil Nuclear Energy Training Program, hosted by State Nuclear Power Technology Cooperation (SNPTC), started in the training center of Koeberg nuclear power station that operated by Electricity Supply Commission (ESCOM). Senior Vice President of State Nuclear Power Technology Cooperation (SNPTC), President of Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI), Dr. Mingguang Zheng, attended the opening ceremony and addressed the speech.

After the accomplishment of the first session, President Zheng presented, the second stage of professional training was elaborately planned to intensify the communication between China and R.S.A.. During his speech in the ceremony, he introduced the history of China’s nuclear power development and the prospections, especially demonstrated the advanced third generation passive nuclear power technology and the current status in China. 

The R.S.A. Civil Nuclear Energy Training Program is consisted of three sessions: basic training, professional training and on-job training. The second batch will provide trainees the knowledge of engineering design, manufacturing, construction, operation and initiation, and project management.
