On September 19, 2016, a delegation led by Mr. Ralph S. Hill, the Vice President of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Nuclear Codes and Standards, visited Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI). Vice President and Chief Engineer of SNERDI, Mr. YAN Jinquan attended the communication seminar. 

The delegation visited SNERDI’s exhibition, listened the introduction of SNERDI, reactor core design, 3D design center, and human factor engineering lab. ASME and SNERDI discussed the ASME certification, the current development of ASME China International Working Group, the application of ASME standards and codes in nuclear construction and so on.   

ASME and SNERDI will be committed to mutually beneficial cooperation and common development, adding new substance and injecting inexhaustible impetus to the relations.
