On October 7, 2016, Senior Vice President of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation and President of Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI), Dr. Mingguang ZHENG was named academician by International Academy for Quality (known as IAQ). Chair of IAQ, Mr. Janak Kumar Mahta greeted him on his appointment by congratulatory letter.

Quality Assurance is the lifeline of nuclear power and the foundation of nuclear power development. As a well-known R&D institute, SNERDI is committed to the advancement of quality and the promotion on Performance Excellence Management. The appointment of Dr. Mingguang ZHENG by IAQ is the recognition of SNERDI’s quality management and the opportunity for SNERDI to develop further communication and cooperation with international entities.

IAQ is an independent, self-supported, non-profit, non-governmental organization that is administered by a collegial assembly of individuals who have been elected by their peers from among the most respected, active and experienced protagonists of quality in the world. Academicians are invited proportionately from among the major regions of the worlds and are approximately divided into thirds from Asia, America, and Europe-Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
