Purchaser’s Factory Acceptance Testing of Protection and Safety Monitoring System Completes

From Oct. 28th to Nov. 22nd, Purchaser’s Factory Acceptance Testing (PFAT) of Protection and Safety Monitoring System (PMS) was successfully conducted. As the designer of PMS, Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute (SNERDI), joints together with owner, purchaser, and commissioner to accomplish the task as planned

Since Automated Record Gatherer and Operator Simulator (ARGOS) tool is introduced during factory test, most of the test cases could be run automatically without any manual intervention.

To facilitate the test, adequate preparations are made before PFAT. The test program and procedure of PFAT are compiled in advance, to determine the acceptance test cases, acceptance test schedule. PFAT activities include four stages: start-up meeting, pre-test document inspection, acceptance testing and summary meeting. Completion of PFAT is an important milestone which makes a step forward to the delivery and site acceptance of PMS equipment.
